Osiris
The god of the dead, and the god of resurrection into eternal life. Ruler, protector and
judge of the dead. First child of Nut and Geb, brother of Nephthys, Seth, and Isis. He
was married to his sister Isis. Father of Horus and Anubis. Osiris ruled the world of men
in the beginning, after Ra had abandoned the world to rule the skies, but he was murdered
by his brother Seth. Through the magic of Isis, he was made to live again. Being the
first living thing to die, he became the lord of the dead.......... more to come
Seth
Brother of Osiris, Isis, and Nephthys who was also his wife. Regarded as the Lord of
Lower Egypt. He was represented by a big-eared imaginary animal with red hair resembling
a donkey or maybe an aardvark. The greeks associated him with their god, Typhon......

Horus
The falcon-headed god. He was one of the most important gods in Egypt, particularly
because the Pharoah was supposed to be his earthly embodiment. The Kings of Egypt
associted themselves with Horus. The son of Osiris and Isis, he was conceived
magically by Isis following the murder of his father...........more to come
Thoth
The god of wisdom and learning, he was said to be self-created in the beginning along
with his consort. the goddess Ma'at. The two produced eight children, the most important
being Amon.........more to come
Anubis
The jackal-god of mummification, and Guardian of the Necropolis (cemetery). Son of Nephthys
and Osiris. He was the guide of souls to Amenti(the underworld where the dead were judged
by Osiris). He was worshipped as the inventor of embalming and who embalmed the dead
Osiris thus helping him to preserve him so that he might live again. Anubis was also the
monitor of the Scales of Truth. He protected them from deception and eternal death.

Amon
The god of Thebes, he was usually shown as human. He was viewed in Hermopolis as a
primordial creation-deity. He was called the vizier of the poor. It was said that he
protected the weak from the strong and was an upholder of justice........more to come
